The new image processing devices combine digital imaging technology with optical sensor technology to record the sensor response of a planar sensor foil which covers the surface of a sample, e. g. animal or plant tissue, cell suspensions or sediments. The optical sensor foil translates the respective analyte content into a light signal which is recorded pixel by pixel using a digital camera. Heterogeneous samples can now easily be evaluated

Dr Shaker offers sound advice

Developers and users of shaken bioreactors profit from the information and expertise available at shakingtechnology.com. Forum Shaking Technology started in early 2009 and since then, its web page shakingtechnology.com has attracted both newcomers and experienced researchers from the field of shaking bioreactors. The web site is now well established with visitors from academia and industry. The cornerstone of this successful concept is undoubtedly “Dr Shaker” who will answer any questions about shaking
