Women's Day Celebrations held at Sagar Group of Institutions' SISTec Ratibad Campus

International Women’s Day was celebrated at Sagar Group of Institutions' - Sagar Institute of Science Technology & Research (SISTec-R), Ratibad Campus with great delight. All the female staff members were welcomed with an IWD-2021 Badge & a Rose in their honor. The event was graced by respected Principal Dr. Manish Billore, who shared his views on women empowerment and gender equality.

The celebrations started with fun games for the support staff & faculties such as Bounce-It Game, Garland Making, Guessing Game, and Balloon-Ball Race. Amongst the faculties, Dr. Vibha Shrivastava & Dr. Abhilasha Bhingare (Basic Science), Ms. Vandana Rai (Computer Science & Engineering), and Ms. Bharti Mehta (Basic Science) were declared winners of Guessing Game, Bounce-It Game & Balloon Ball Race respectively. Amongst the support staff, Roopa Didi and Lata Didi were declared winners in Garland Making & Balloon Ball race.

Dr. Vibha Shrivastava (First-Year Incharge), Dr. Sfurti Verma (Basic Science) & Ms. Sreena Sreedharan (Asst. Manager HR) inspired and encouraged the audience to become self–reliant, practice skill-development, and #ChooseToChallenge themselves to explore new endeavors and reach greater heights.

On a later note, the Student Activity Council also organized a celebratory event. The students displayed an array of talent on-stage. A skit was presented on the theme of women empowerment that grabbed everyone's attention. A few singing performances were also presented by the students and a short video on Women's Rights was displayed.

Prof. Ashish Singhal (Head of Electrical Engineering Department) and Prof. Kshitij Yugbodh (Head of Mechanical Engineering Department) addressed the gathering on the importance of Women in a person's life. In their words, though Women's Day is celebrated one day in a year, one should treat women with utmost respect all year round.
