AXIT AG wins Euro Cloud Deutschland Award 2012 for Logistics IT Platform AX4

Frankenthal, 23rd May 2012 – The AXIT AG, provider of the logistics IT platform AX4 has been awarded the „Euro Cloud Deutschland Award 2012“ in the category „Best Cloud Service Product“. For the second time this annual award has been given to companies for innovative solutions in cloud computing by the association of the cloud services industry in Germany, EuroCloud Deutschland_eco e.V.

The category „Best Cloud Service Product“ rates cloud services which due to their characteristics show the best requirements for a high market acceptance. These can be functionalities, distinctive connectivity and interoperability of the offered service or an especially effective use of required data center resources. The logistics platform AX4 has convinced the jury especially in terms of data security, data protection and compliance as well as with its scope of functions.

The winners have been awarded within the EuroCloud Deutschland Conference which is annually held for IT consultants, sales partners and providers of cloud services to exchange on up-to-date topics in cloud computing.

„Due to their various advantages cloud computing solutions are being sought-after more and more by the users. But it still takes a lot of publicity to sustainably place the cloud with descriptive and convincing solution examples. The Euro Cloud Award with its independent jury makes a big contribution to this”, Frauke Heistermann, member of AXIT AG´s management, explained the participation in the contest.

AXIT AG and their platform AX4 have become a pioneer in cloud-based logistics solutions. Under the theme „Supply Chain Management at the push of a button“ the IT company brings many parties from different companies and locations together on one single platform. Data and information is shared online, errors are avoided, costs are reduced and the delivery chain is controlled reliably. The jury also rated the innovative tool AX4 Open as exemplary. „Do IT Yourself“ – with this motto the application software AX4 provides users with the option to configure their IT solutions by themselves.

In four categories three companies each have been nominated for the EuroCloud Deutschland Awards. AXIT AG was able to score against Claranet GmbH and imc information multimedia communication AG . „The commendation by an independent jury is a big praise for the AXIT team and encourages us to keep working on new cloud-based innovations for the logistics industry“, Frauke Heistermann said during the awards.
