Centrally control the Diversity of Providers: The Silver Bullet

AXIT paper shows solution on universal IT connectivity to CEP providers

Smooth cooperation with various courier, express and parcel providers is no longer a question of system. Through the IT platform AX4 industry and trade can use a universal tool for transmitting and controlling their express shipments.

How this works and which advantages result from central integration of CEP providers is now described in a recently published Best Practice paper by AX4’s operator AXIT; it can be requested from that company free of charge.

“We have pre-defined the connections to CEP providers so that local programming for sending which would usually be required for a direct connection to the respective provider can be eliminated”, Frauke Heistermann, member of AXIT’s management, explains the principle.

By way of universal access the companies – depending on the CEP provider – would save between 15,000 and 30,000 Euros in project cost per connection, Heistermann itemizes. Besides, due to the central management of all CEP shipments the controlling efforts are reduced by 50 per cent.

Currently AX4 has completed integration of FedEx, TNT, DPD, trans-o-flex and GO!. Other providers are being connected.

The paper “Best Practice – Integration of CEP Providers” can be requested free of charge at www.axit.de/en/best-practice-cep. Or learn more about this live at our booth at transport logistic in Munich (Hall B2 / Booth 421/522).
