Movenda announces "Egomet", the Movenda FIDO Server, is now FIDO® Certified
“Security based on strong authentication is vitally important for the future of mobile payments and to deliver simpler, better and more secure payment experiences to the customers”, said Marco Rossi, Movenda’s CEO & Founder. "We are proud to be member of FIDO Alliance and we believe the FIDO standards and our involvement with the FIDO Alliance will help deliver in Europe a set of user convenient authentication methods that are aligned with the new requirements on the Payment Services Directive (PSD2), Electronic Identification and Trust Services Regulation (eIDAS), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)."
The FIDO Alliance, is an industry consortium with 250+ member and partner organizations developing open standards for simpler, stronger authentication, formed in July 2012 to address the lack of interoperability among strong authentication technologies, and remedy the problems users face with creating and remembering multiple usernames and passwords.
