The german "Gourmet-Masterchief" crowns his carreer by serving agravic delicacies on board of the spaceship Enterprise / presentation April 25th in Munich.

Morschach/Cochstedt, February 19th 2009 - during his nomination as "gastronome of the year 2009" Gerd Käfer was speaking about his biggest goal - "I want to be the first who is serving in space before I will retire by age 100." - says the youthful 76-year old "gourmet-mastercook".

No problem according to the spacemen of Talis Enterprise. By his 80th Birthday at the latest this wish will be fulfilled so the german specialists for space tourism. The aircraft with the symbolic name "Enterprise" will uplift the master chef and his guests into 125 metres.

Due to the absence of gravity there will be served a special meal - the “space-menu” which can probably soon be tried out at Käfer's restaurants. Not only will there be bites from the master on board, but he also will be providing catering for the 14-day-training-session.

In realistic computersimulations the flying spacerestaurant is already ready and airworthy. The start of construction of the prototype "BlackSky" is in the offering. The menu and other exciting details about this partnership of the master gastronom and the enterprise engineers will be introduced in Munich on April 25th, 2009.

"It is an honor for us to fulfil the dream of Gerd Käfer" says Marco Günzel, founder and managing director of Talis Enterprise GmbH. In Europe the private program for space tourism has exsisted since 2004. In 2010 the prototype "BlackSky" will go into service. Engines made in Switzerland provide solid shear force and will catapult BlackSky up to 35 km.

The final "Enterprise" with room for 6 passengers will be 20m long and will weigh 20 tons. It will carry people from the airport Magdeburg-Cochstedt into the suborbit on a weekly basis.

Additionally to a in Europe pathbreaking technology there will be an unique catering. "This is my personal reach for the stars" explains Käfer, "and in addition i will always be one step ahead of my colleagues."

Käfer was already one step ahead by serving the Kreml where he was the first German who was allowed to cook there under the stern view of the "Red Army". "Gourmet Pope", "Europe's Tablesetter No.1" or "Inventor of catering" are just a few of the titles Käfer is holding.

"Losers have meetings, Winners celebrate parties" - this is his philosophy which will soon expand to the outer space: "Possibly soon NASA will be interested in this project as well to bring some alternation into the menu of the US spaceman" jokes Peer Gehrmann of Talis.

In the future Talis Enterprise will also bring tourists from Germany into suborbit. The project which was started in 2004 is ready for simulations. The company that resides at the Magdeburg-Cochstedt airport expects their first manned flight by 2013. Rocketscience Companies from Germany and Switzerland as well as a team of experienced engineers are developing the aircrafts which can take passengers up to 125 km where they experience the abscence of gravity - more than on any parabolic flight.

The 2004 by Talis Enterprise launched "Project Enterprise" is Europe's first purely private space project without any government involvement.
Our goal is to offer suborbital flights to tourist and scientific purposes in Europe.
