McDermott comes to Altitude Marketing from the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation, where he served as Director of Communications. He has also worked as Communications Director/Assistant to the Mayor for the City of Allentown and spent more than 20 years as an award-winning newspaper journalist covering Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton, as well as school districts such as Parkland and Southern Lehigh.

He has taught journalism and remedial composition at Lehigh Carbon Community College at both the Schnecksville and Allentown campuses.
