6. Ponyforum Open-Sales: Lectures concerning different matters will complete the range of sales

Ponies will be the main attraction in the Horsecenter Alsfeld from October 9th to 12th. The “Ponyforum Open Sales” will open its doors in its sixth year. The exclusive range of sales will contain offers from last years vice-champions, ponies qualified for this years “Bundeschampionat”, actual county-champions as well as promising prospects with enormous potential. Apart from 40 sportponies being offered in this lot, there will be an amount of schoolmasterponies that can be purchased for amounts around the EUR 10.000.
Sales ponies are without exception privately owned by members of the different german breeders associations. The Ponies are all solidely schooled for children´s use, so they are, each representing its own discipline, a class on their own.
The event gives opportunity to the interested to try out several sportponies of a desired state of schooling, which will take place in ideal surroundings and in peace. At any time on the four days, it will be possible to purchase directly from the exhibitor.
This years event, which has been established as a solid position in the national and international calendar of breeders and interested customers, will present further highlights: For the first time, lectures and discussions concerning questions in the modern sportpony breeding, will be added to the program. One of the lectures will be led by Elmar Pollmann-Schweckhorst, Pferdewirtschaftsmeister, riding instructor FN and author. Subject of the theme he will treat and discuss, will be, if we can do without the “success genes” taken from the warmblood breeding or if we cannot. Apart from this, Christoph Hess, leader of the schooling department FN, as well as international dressage and eventing judge, will take you through a seminary dealing with “better pony riding”. Target of these new topics in the program are to use the coming together of specialists, breeders and riders, to give new impulses to the development in breeding sport ponies.

Bright “pipe opener” to the whole event will be a big opening Gala, taking place on Thursday evening from 19.00 o´clock. This celebration will begin the event in a moodful and glamorous way, whereas the new collection of ponies will be presented a festive frame. They will be shown in their different disciplines and in their different levels of schooling. Subsequently the ponies can be tried out.
