Lili & Lola Original Series Greenlit by Big Bad Boo
Lili & Lola Goes into Production - Again!
Lili & Lola is a series known for celebrating Persian culture with colourful characters and heartwarming storylines. The new season is set to air on ICI TV, Amazon Prime, and TFO, in 2025. Lili & Lola follows the adventures of two Iranian-Canadian sisters who live in a small apartment in a big city. Along with Maman, Papa, and their lazy cat, Kensington, they love to giggle, laugh, and just be silly.
Stemming from the universe of 16 Hudson, Lili & Lola has had tremendous success, along with other spin-offs such as ABC With Kenny G and 16 Hudson ER. The cast of celebrity voices bringing the series to life includes Samira Mohyeddin (CBC Radio One), Banafsheh Taherian, Maz Jobrani (Jimmy Vestvood), Sholly Zomorodi (Fox 5 Morning News), Rana Mansour, Andrea Libman (My Little Pony), and Maryke Hendrikse (Polly Pocket).
Show Creator Shabnam Rezaei said, "To return with even more stories from this lovable ensemble is a huge excitement for all of us at Big Bad Boo. Clearly, Lili and Lola's adventures resonate with kids and their extended families, delving into funny cultural stories and relatable sister mishaps." In staying authentic to originalstorytelling, the crew this season includes Toronto-based writers Arezou Amin and Nedda Sarshar, and Big Bad Boo's co-founder Shabnam Rezaei as the Series Director. Also returning this season are Supervising Director Eddie Soriano, Producer Paddy Gillen, and Executive Producer Aly Jetha.
As a recipient of multiple Leo Awards, Kidscreen and Pixie Gold Awards, Lili & Lola was also nominated in 2022 for the MIPCOM Diversify TV Excellence Award in Cannes, placing the series in front of an international audience. The preschool show has been praised for celebrating Iran's culture and history in a simple and significant way. In addition to the broadcast partners above, Lili & Lola's first three seasons airs on Vme Kids, Radio-Canada Jeunesse, YouTube Kids, and in multiple languages including Persian, English, Spanish and French on Oznoz.
