Ambassador Robert Brevelle

Ambassador Robert Brevelle

Redwood Media has appointed Robert Brevelle, a member of the Adai Caddo Indian Nation of Louisiana, as their Global Entrepreneurship Ambassador. Robert has over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience, and he was showcased in the Top 100 Innovators and Entrepreneurs Magazine for 2023. A veteran of multiple high-profile exits, he has been listed among the best innovators and engineers at NASA and Fortune 500 companies, Top 10 Angel Investors in Silicon Valley, Top 10 Angel Investors in Dallas, Top 101 in London's Best Angels, and Top 100 Angel Investors that support veterans.

Robert is an early stage investor and executive in companies ranging from fashion to semiconductors. Yunex, Marshall, Ewellix, Trinity, e2v, and OneWeb are a few of his exits, which in the past ten years have returned a staggering two billion dollars to investors while creating thousands of jobs.

"By all accounts, he has been wildly successful at every level imaginable in startups and Fortune 500 corporations, but it is Robert's passion and adept skills at mentoring and coaching entrepreneurs that made him the obvious choice to be our ambassador," said Chairman Tom Henderson of RM's advisory board. "He is a recognized expert in multiple technologies and markets, and probably the most the well known Native American entrepreneur. His academic credentials are impeccable. And, he has global appeal. He has lived and managed companies in Europe, Asia, and the US. His hard-won experiences and willingness to share them are pure 24-karat startup gold."

Recognized not only for his shrewd and lucrative business dealings, Robert is one of the most highly sought after mentors. This stems from news articles and podcasts where founders have publicly shared their experiences working with him. They credit him with catapulting their startups by helping to refine business plans, strategies, and investor makeup. As a mentor, he has helped develop their prowess as a business leader with an emphasis on innovation and ethics. Many of these founders met him while involved in programs at Tech Wildcatters, the Department of Homeland Security's Center for Innovative Technology, and Intellectual Ventures.

"Robert was the key to helping me raise my seed and A rounds," said founder Kyle Torres from Intellectual Ventures. "Having worked in every level of the startup lifecycle, he brings a breath and depth of experience that is rarely found. He has been everything from a software developer to the chairman of a startup, so he understands the challenges facing entrepreneurs. As an investor, he's invested in startups from the idea through exit phase so he resonates with investors. He knows how to identify the right investors and investment for each stage of a startups trajectory while managing dilution, debt, and growth."

Robert invested in and eventually became the Managing Partner of the struggling Tech Wildcatters accelerator, the oldest accelerator in Texas. He personally taught classes and mentored dozens of the founders. During his tenure, the accelerator quadrupled the number of startups going through the program, increased its investment fund by threefold, doubled its internship program, and hosted not one but two of the largest pitch days in the country. The results were clear. Tech Wildcatters achieved a National Top 10 Accelerator ranking from Forbes and captured the number one spot as the Best B2B Accelerator in the World. Robert became a fixture in Yahoo Finance and Nasdaq News while gracing the cover of the Dallas Business Journal. Then he was appointed Entrepreneur-in-Residence of Intellectual Ventures with over 75,000 patents and six billion in investments. Founders and startups from across the globe flocked to Texas in the hopes of securing him as a mentor, investor or board member.

"The startup community is fortunate to have someone of Robert's caliber willing to volunteer to help the next generation of innovators, disruptors and trailblazers," said angel investor James Lee. "Here you have someone who has run their own startup and worked with flagship VC's such as Austin Ventures, Intellectual Ventures, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He is a techie, a finance whiz, and a proven business leader with experience in aerospace, defense, cyber, telecommunications, SaaS and more. Like many other entrepreneurs, he put his career, time, and money on the line. Who better to be their ambassador?"

As an ambassador, Robert will represent RM at conferences, seminars, and panel discussions. He will work closely with promising entrepreneurs and angel networks in strategic markets such as Chicago and Silicon Valley.
