The extraordinary Blue Rock Village is designed and developed by Swisatec, a leader in architecture and project management, with origins from Switzerland. This Cape Town based firm is set to build the first multibillion Green Village not only in Cape Town but in Africa. In this project Swisatec have applied the principles of open spaces, environmental sustainability, well-being and car free living, this has created a very first project of its kind in South Africa.

The result is a fresh, modern and original construction, which revives the locality, improves family living in the South African real estate industry and elevates it to a new level. Apartments are arranged to achieve open-plan living areas incorporating kitchen, dining, and living spaces with free flow of large well shaded, wind-protected balconies. The apartments boast high ceilings from 2.8 meters and large, double glazed windows at 2.4 meters, unprecedented for apartment developments. Together with the established feeling of well-being, residents also have unrestricted access to the breathtaking landscape and views from their homes.

Each exclusive apartment is designed for maximum comfort throughout the seasons by ensuring the building envelope is expertly insulated to keep away dust and noise. As environmental pioneer, Blue Rock Village is dedicated to employ sustainable, A++ rated energy efficient appliances, LED lighting with a maximum of self-generated solar power and a water management system for overall integration: from shower water disposal to irrigation.
Blue Rock Village will produce 80% of its own electricity which will feed the entire Village. through this sustainable initiative, residence are expected to save up to 40% on their electricity bill. Thank you to the night camp, day camp Blue Rock Village concept, the engineers behind Blue Rock Village plan to build a power storage system for off pick use and on pick use.
The Giovanni Apartment is the first phase of the Village, the construction of Giovanni is split into two phases, which are connected by a common footstool, with 64 apartments in total, one- to four-bedrooms or an option to combine tow apartments. All apartments are meticulously designed with quality detail throughout and materials that are used in the creation of the Blue Rock Village are eco-friendly. Apartments come with a 10-year guarantee -on material used on the building. The size of the apartments ranges from 75 m2 to 180 m2 Units start from 200 000 €.

With Car Free Living at the core of our development, Blue Rock Village has one ring road serving the entire Village, leading cars through tree alleys with luxury paving and flower beds directly to the underground parking. This makes the Village entirely pedestrian and children friendly and the green, landscaped can be enjoyed at leisure by all. To encourage residents to make use of alternative transportation, Blue Rock Village plans to motivate the City of Cape Town to extend the MyCiti Bus service to be in close proximity of the Village. the bus service will run on the proposed Bloubos Road, which connects from the N2, passes the Village to Somerset West.

Plans for the mixed-use Blue Rock Village include a multi-functional Life Style Centre within the Village, array of medical centres, boutiques, schools and colleges, nurseries, restaurants and cafes. The Life Style Centre is the heart of the Village, where one can enjoy live music concerts, markets and opera’s. Linked to the centre, is the Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre, where one can be pampered in various Therapeutic centre, or take a leisurely dip in the swimming pool.
