Matrox Releases New iOS 7-Compatible MuraControl for iPad App
The new Matrox MuraControl for iPad app is optimized for iOS 7 and enables enhanced management of Mura MPX-powered video walls.
MONTREAL — October 29, 2013 — Matrox® Graphics Inc. today announced the immediate availability of a new, upgraded version of the Matrox MuraControl™ for iPad® app optimized to run on the latest iOS 7 mobile operating system from Apple®. This free remote control application for Matrox Mura™ MPX-powered video walls offers an easy way to navigate between existing layouts and generate new ones. New functionality includes the ability to select and display layouts created with Matrox MuraControl 2.0 for Windows® video wall management software, which offers advanced features such as layout scheduling and source touring.
“Mura MPX customers using the popular MuraControl for iPad app as part of their video wall ecosystem will be happy to hear of the app’s native support for the redesigned iOS 7 software,” said Helgi Sigurdsson, product manager at Matrox Graphics. “The new development also exposes unprecedented interoperability between our two software options for easy and seamless interaction between an administrator’s iPad and the more advanced layouts created in MuraControl 2.0 for Windows.”
MuraControl for iPad is an intuitive touch panel interface that replicates the video wall on the tablet so users can effortlessly switch, scale, and manage inputs to create and/or access previously saved layouts. The Apple iPad communicates to the video wall by sending IP commands through the Mura Network API to the Mura MPX video wall controller boards so all changes affect the video wall in real time. The new MuraControl for iPad app is compatible with iOS 5 and up and iPad 2 and later.
Availability
The new Matrox MuraControl for iPad app is now available for free on the App Store. To test out the advanced features of Matrox MuraControl 2.0 for Windows, download the 21-day trial version from the Matrox website.
