New Karate Dojo Wins Gold Medals at AAU Regionals
gold, at the Region 6 Super Regional Championships held in Chicago. This qualifies the students from Rockford Karate Center to represent Rockford, IL at the US Karate National Championship this summer.
The gold winners begin training for a national title today.
The three gold medal champions are:
Delilah Partee, Regional Kata Champion
Zain Alzubaidi, Regional Kumite Champion
Roman Parham, Regional Kumite Champion
Rockford Karate Center opened in the middle of the pandemic last September by Sensei Taleb Bekkali, ranked third in the world by the World Karate Confederation in 2005.
Since Rockford Karate Center opened in 2020, it did not receive any stimulus.

the exact qualities karate teaches and roots our students in what it takes to succeed. Medals and titles are a great
recognition of the more important work happening in our champions – becoming Rockford’s future leaders.”
