Amy Sport is taking petite golf fashion to new heights!

PALM DESERT, CA – Amy Sport, the maker of performance athletic wear for petite women, announced today a donation of 10% of sales during the past #GivingTuesday celebration on December 1, 2020 to LPGA*USGA Girls Golf, a USGA/LPGA partnership supporting girls junior golf programs. Amy Sport will become a partner of LPGA*USGA Girls Golf and support the organization going forward.

“We are excited that we can make this donation to an organization that is focused not only on teaching girls golf but empowering them with confidence and valuable life skills,” said Amy Lipton,
President and CEO of Amy Sport. “Our brand is about empowering women with clothes that allow them to excel on the golf course, tennis court, game of choice and more. Our fashion-forward style with high-performance luxury fabrics allow women to work, play and relax at their best.”

Fernando Carrasquillo, Coordinator of Foundation Programs at LPGA*USGA Girls Golf said, “We are thankful that Amy Sport chose LPGA*USGA Girls Golf as a recipient of their Giving Tuesday giveback. These funds will help with our mission of empowering young girls through the game of golf. Our members learn more than just golf, we help empower them with confidence and teach them valuable life skills. Our Program is appreciative of Amy Sport’s efforts to helping LPGA*USGA Girls Golf form leaders of tomorrow.”

LPGA*USGA Girls Golf was founded 1989 and has grown into a community of more than 90,000 girls across the country learning golf from professional instructors. #GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good and was incubated at the 92nd Street Y and the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact in New York City.

About Giving Tuesday
#GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. #GivingTuesday was born and incubated at the 92nd Street Y and the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact in New York City. #GivingTuesday is now an independent nonprofit and a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. The Giving Tuesday began as an idea in 2011, the brainchild of the non-profit Mary-Arrchie Theater Company in Chicago and then-producing director Carlo Lorenzo Garcia, who urged shoppers to consider donating to charity after they had finished their Cyber Monday shopping.
