Print Carrier.com, handed over € 5,000 to World Vision e.V.

Southampton: “From the start, it was very important for me to take on social responsibility“, said the young entrepreneur Günter Makowski, who founded PrintCarrier.com in 2004. Collaboration with World Vision Deutschland e.V. came about in November last year when the company was looking for a German-based company that organised internationally oriented aid projects and thus, at the end of the day, represented an approach similar to that of PrintCarrier.com itself. This resulted in the formation of “Project 10³“.

The idea behind the name of “Project 10³“ was that from 1st December 2006 until 8th April 2007, 10 branches in 10 countries (Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Spain and Switzerland) would use all their efforts to generate as many new orders as possible so that the aim of financing 10 local houses for families in need in Mongolia could finally be achieved.

For each new customer order, the company donated € 2.00 to World Vision. In addition, the PrintCarrier team worked for one extra hour in the run-up to Christmas to benefit the project. The campaign was also supported by partners and friends, as well as the customers and employees, so that a total of € 5,000 could be given to World Vision Deutschland e.V. and the ambitious target could be met.

PrintCarrier.com
The company was founded in 2004 by Günter Makowski, who after basic and higher education (business management courses / including graduation from the renowned French elite university ESSEC – Grand Ecole) was employed as a consultant by the international accounting and consulting firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC). The idea for this business model is the result of his extensive experience of working abroad, for example in China, Hungary, Great Britain and France; the idea to market an international product which everybody knows and uses on a daily basis from the Artic to the Antarctic: Print media based on DIN formats. One of the fundamental ideas was to create a win-win situation for customers and PrintCarrier alike and to reduce runtimes and prices. PrintCarrier focuses on the production and realisation of printing concepts. Therefore, the company believes in the importance of promoting the further development of its employees, since specialist knowledge, professionalism and the drive to always achieve the best are the business maxims at PrintCarrier. “High-quality products, professionalism and deadline-driven deliveries are our philosophy for long-term customer relationships”, Günter Makowski explained in front of customers and employees during a marketing event in October last year. The goal of the company is to become the European market leader in the online printing sector. PrintCarrier.com is an owner-operated business with subsidiaries in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Spain and Switzerland. Last year alone, the company recorded a 46 % increase in orders.
