Twelve Palms Recovery Center, a private, dual diagnosis drug and alcohol treatment facility located in Jensen Beach, Florida announces the April appointment of Loretta Lukic to the position of clinical director. In that capacity, she will be assuming responsibility for day to day clinical operations of the center, a rehab facility that maintains a census of approximately 20 clients and specializes in attention to the alcoholic addict in a private, comfortable setting.

Education/Certification:

Ms Lukic received her undergraduate degree from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and her graduate degree from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. Her certifications include: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP) in Virginia; Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) in Florida; as well as National Certified Counselor (NCC) and National Counseling Certification Board (NBCC).

Experience:

Ms Lukic brings over twenty years experience as a licensed psychotherapist in both profit and non-profit organizations. At various times she has served as a Mental Health Tech, Primary Counselor, Program Director, Quality Assurance Manager and Clinical Director. She has a part time private practice in Stuart, Florida and is publishing an article in The Journal of Marriage and Family Therapy on the dynamics of adolescents with substance abuse/dependency issues.

Philosophy:

Ms Lukic: "I firmly believe Life is a spiritual journey and our Higher Power brings others into our lives for us to learn something from them and for them to learn something from us. If there is even one sentence that I say to someone in treatment that changes their life in a positive way (for an hour, a day, a week or a month etc.)...then everything I have attained and experienced has been worth it."
