Yet for those who use the Bible as their holy book, there really is no clear consensus of the name of the god featured in the Bible. The translation of the Hebrew Scriptures into Greek, Latin, and English resulted in new terms to call the Mighty One of Israel. These terms along with historical events of the Hebrew Israelite people and the birth of Christianity were pivotal in the move away from use of the Most High’s name.
