Prop S Campaign Holds Public Meeting At YMCA

03-14-2011 11:54 AM CET | Science & Education

Press release from: Tatlow, Gump, Faiella & Wheelan, LLC

Moberly, MO, March 11, 2011:

Interested voters and supporters of “Yes on S”, a proposition to renovate and reface the Moberly High School, held a public meeting last night at Randolph Area YMCA. The meeting included information on the need for the renovations, benefits to our community and costs.

Additional public events are planned, including a public forum at the Moberly High School on Tuesday March 15, at 6:00 p.m. “Yes on S” leaders are hoping voters who have not yet learned about the proposed renovations will come to the meetings to learn more about this important community project. Just some of the exiting upgrades to the school will include new classrooms, modern and properly equipped science labs, and new technology infrastructure.

Prop S and the renovation plan is the result of a community based approach which involved several public meetings including concerned citizens, parents, teachers, administrators and students. The process involved seeking advice and counsel from voters on the need for the facility. The result was that there was strong support for a renovation and revitalizing of the existing school.

On the April 5th Ballot Moberly School District voters will be asked to approve a $16.2 million bond issue. The “Yes on S” campaign asks that all citizens turn out to support this important community project.

“Yes on S” is also looking for volunteers for their vote “Yes on S” campaign. For additional information visit the vote “Yes on S” website at: http://yesonprops.com/
