UK Premier League football team, Birmingham City are now offering all of their branded football merchandise via a Facebook storefront using technology developed by preferred Facebook developer, Zibaba.

“We were delighted with both the Facebook store and the service we received from Zibaba. The guys at Zibaba pulled out all of the stops to make sure our store went live as quickly as possible,” stated Andy Walker, PR and Social Media Manager for Birmingham City Football Club “I am now pleased to report that our Facebook store has gone down really well with our supporters and it is now an impressive addition to Birmingham City FC’s official page. I would recommend Zibaba’s services to other professional football clubs and businesses.”

“We’re very excited that Birmingham City FC has decided to promote and sell their merchandise using a Zibaba powered storefront,” added Ronen Shlomo, CEO of Zibaba. “Social shopping on Facebook is the best way to promote a brand in both the retail world and the consumer service world. With the number of potential customers growing on Facebook, we believe that this is the ultimate destination for an online storefront presence.”

“Additionally this gives Birmingham City fans the opportunity to support and socially share every aspect of their favourite team,” said Michael Katz, VP Business Development and Investor Relations for Zibaba. “This puts supporting a football team into a whole new light. Additionally, if fans decide to join the affiliate program for the Birmingham City storefront, they can become resellers of Birmingham City merchandise to all of their Facebook friends. Giving fans the chance to earn some money selling the merchandise is a way of giving back to the people who are most loyal to the club, every football club should adopt a similar stance.”

But what does the future hold in store for Zibaba Facebook shops and how they differ from competitors? CTO Arie Fishler added “Utilizing the power of affiliate marketing combined with merchants who have chosen to use Zibaba technology, means that any affiliate marketer can create their very own branded storefront on Facebook and populate their branded storefront with merchandise from their choice of Facebook stores powered by Zibaba. Additionally, with the implementation of group discounts on selected products, we are certain that anyone who chooses a Zibaba powered Facebook has made the right strategic decision.”
