Leading used van retailer Anchor Vans attributes huge success of Volkswagen vans to rise in popularity of extreme sports

Volkswagen has been awarded the Fleet Van Manufacturer of the Year Award, confirming its highly respected status in the commercial vehicle industry. "I was pleased to see that Volkswagen won the Fleet Van Manufacturer of the Year Award; I think it's well deserved and reflects their popularity with consumers," said Simon, Sales Director for Anchor Vans. "I can understand why fleet managers choose Volkswagen; they are so reliable and when you have many fleet vehicles on the road involved in critical tasks, that's a primary concern. We've seen a steady increase in the popularity of used VW vans over the past few years now," Simon commented, "And whilst I do believe their reliability is a big factor, I think the sales trend actually has a great deal to do with the rise in popularity of extreme sports, such as career surfing and snowboarding."
