Henkel invites students across the country to pen down their thoughts on the topic for the year

October 26 2010: Henkel India Ltd. today announced its popular national level paper presentation `Henkel Eco-petition’ for students on environmental issues. The annual contest, spear-headed by Henkel India since 2005 has received wide acclaim and has become a regular event on the school calendar. This year “Henkel Eco-petition” will address ways of reducing and reusing resources, which is the need of the hour. Titled “Reducing & reusing of resources in our daily lives” the competition is open to school students of class 9,10,11 & 12 from cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.

“Henkel Eco-petition is conceptualized to stimulate young minds to find sustainable solutions on the use of resources important to our environment. This year the topic will ask students to think how best we can reduce and reuse resources for the betterment of our society. Henkel teams worldwide look for effective solutions to manage resources and contribute towards the environment.” says Mr. Jayant Singh, Managing Director, Henkel India Limited.

Participants in Henkel Eco-Petition 2010 will need to write a paper in not more than 2,500 words on the topic. The selected students will be invited to take part in the finals which includes a live discussion with a panel of esteemed judges. The award carries a gift prize of Rs. 10,000/- for the first place, Rs. 7,500/- for the second place and Rs. 5,000/- for the third place. The last date for the submission of entries is 20th November 2010 and the entries will have to be sent to Henkel.Ecopetition@henkel.com.
