Berlin, January 25th 2010. Successful German TV series The School Inspectors will soon be on air in Russia. Victoria Production, a production company based in Berlin with operations in Russia and Ukraine, has purchased the show’s licence option. More than 20 episodes are to be produced to start with. The series will be produced to be very close to the successful German original. Just the day-to-day circumstances of individual stars of the show will need to be adapted to the Russian daily routine. All episodes will be shot in Russia.
TV broadcasters in nine other countries have also bought the format belonging to Hamburg-based production company Stampfwerk Medienproduktions- und vermarktungs GmbH. You can already watch The School Inspectors in France, Ukraine, Spain, the UK, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark in addition to Russia.

Konstantin Panovko, CEO at Victoria Production:
“The School Inspectors” has been a big hit since coming to German screens in 2009. We think this is largely down to the problems young people go through which affect school life in many places being skilfully identified. Its international success proves that this set of problems is also of great interest in other countries too. This is why we are convinced that the Russian version of The School Inspectors will also do very well in Russia.

Victoria Production GmbH is the first joint German-Russian production company. Its CEO is Konstantin Panovko. Since its establishment in 2004, Victoria has developed, produced and adapted successful German formats for the Russian and Ukrain market. In addition to a number of daily programmes, Victoria Production has also taken Galileo (Pro7), the most successful science programme, and Wissen macht Ah! (WDR) to Russia.
