Marketing cooperation promotes family experiences in the city

Wolfsburg, 20.03.2024 - There is so much for families to experience in Wolfsburg! This is the message of the "Famil-yeah" image campaign, which the marketing cooperation between Autostadt, Designer Outlets Wolfsburg, VfL Wolfsburg and phaeno is using to promote the city under the leadership of Wolfsburg Wirtschaft und Marketing GmbH (WMG). In an eye-catching pop art comic style, the colorful motifs in the city and the region draw attention to the wide range of experiences for the whole family in Wolfsburg.

"The aim of the marketing cooperation is to use the 'Famil-yeah' campaign to jointly position Wolfsburg as an attractive destination for families with a wide reach and target group orientation," explains Jens Hofschröer, Wirtschaftsdezernent of Wolfsburg and Managing Director of WMG. "Thanks to our strong partners, we can present a multi-faceted campaign with an unconventional look that is guaranteed to attract attention."

The 'Famil-yeah' campaign was launched just in time for the start of the Easter vacations and will showcase Wolfsburg's family-friendliness throughout the year with changing motifs depicting various leisure experiences in Wolfsburg. The campaign will primarily be played out via the social media channels of "Wolfsburg erleben" as well as the channels and advertising media of the marketing cooperation partners. These include, for example, playout on the digital board at VfL Wolfsburg, where the Autostadt is making some of its advertising slots available, as well as newsletters and digital display boards. The use of shared resources enables the greatest possible synergies and maximizes reach in a cost-efficient manner.

All motifs refer to the WMG experience portal www.wolfsburg-erleben.de, which provides a central point of contact for an overview of local leisure activities in Wolfsburg. Tourists can also book travel offers and suitable hotel accommodation directly here.

"When you think of Wolfsburg, you might not think of family experiences first. But we have a lot to offer in this respect," explains Armin Maus, Managing Director of the Autostadt. "We hope that the 'Famil-yeah' campaign will convince even more families of the wide range of leisure activities on offer in Wolfsburg and welcome them to Wolfsburg in the future."

Michael Ernst, center manager of the Designer Outlets Wolfsburg and managing board member of City Marketing und Tourismus Wolfsburg e.V. (CMT), explains: "The 'Famil-yeah' campaign shows Wolfsburg as it is: family-friendly, diverse and colorful. Alongside the Designer Outlets, the CMT also expressly supports the bundling of marketing activities as part of the cooperation."

"The joint campaign represents a clear alliance of all partners. Wolfsburg has a lot to offer - we need to confidently present this to the outside world together," adds Michael Meeske, Managing Director of VfL Wolfsburg. "'Famil-yeah' conveys a clear message that we can all unite behind authentically."

"The phaeno wants to give families in particular unique science experiences. We are therefore delighted that we are addressing precisely this target group with the joint 'Famil-yeah' campaign and thus further strengthening Wolfsburg as a leisure destination for families," emphasizes Michel Junge, Managing Director of phaeno.
