A Blues Journey from New Jersey to Bavaria: Bluesgarten CD drops on September 15

Tabitha Elkins' musical journey has taken her through various genres, showcasing her versatility as a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. With her latest collaboration alongside Andreas Herden in Bluesgarten, she embarks on a new chapter as an eclectic blues diva.

Hailing from New Jersey, Tabitha has spent countless hours composing and recording her music in her Stein studio. However, the global lockdown and the challenges posed by the Covid crisis prompted her to seek a change of scenery. Together with Bavarian-born Herden, Tabitha has relocated her recording studio and eclectic collection of instruments to the enchanting Baroque town of Mühldorf.

The forthcoming self-titled album is a testament to Tabitha's resilience and ability to evoke a range of emotions through her music. She explains, "These recordings were born during a time of profound introspection and turmoil. They explore the depths of human experience, delving into themes of sadness, anger, joy, and hope."

In addition to fresh compositions, the album also features reimagined versions of two songs from her earlier release, "Upside Down World" - the soulful "Blues For Jesus" and the hard-hitting "Gallows Pole Blues." Furthermore, the duo presents a captivating remix of the track "Final War" from Love+Death.

Diverse and captivating, the new material on the album showcases Tabitha's ability to effortlessly transition between genres. Tracks like "I Don't Worry Bout Money" and "Blues Waltz" capture the essence of country blues, while "Lichtblick" and "Wir Wollen Frieden" infuse an upbeat pop rock flavor. As the album draws to a close, "Goodbye Blues, Bye Bye" brings us full circle, dipping back into the realm of jazz blues.
