ACG Chicago enlists Craig Miller as CEO

CHICAGO, September 11, 2007 - ACG Chicago, the Chicago chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), announced that Mr. Craig Miller has joined the organization as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Miller, a long-time executive in Chicago-area investment banking and financial advisory services with a specialty in alternative energy will lead ACG Chicago and focus on expanding the organization’s brand, reach and member services. In addition, Ms. Terry Cobb has been promoted from Executive Administrator to Vice President of Operations and will continue to manage the organization's operations.

Mr. Michael Sklar, Board President of ACG Chicago, noted that, "ACG Chicago is extremely fortunate to have engaged Craig Miller as its new full-time Chief Executive Officer. Craig brings experience, dedication, and proven strategic skills to our organization. ACG Chicago is one of 53 local chapters around the world with 11,000 members that form the International ACG organization. The ACG Chicago organization is one of the largest networks of corporate growth professionals approaching 1,000 in number.

Mr. Miller has over 20 years experience in investment banking, financial advisory, and general consulting for closely held firms. Most recently, he was Principal at EcoDelta, Inc., an investment bank focused on alternative energy, green, clean and healthy corporate development. Mr. Miller chaired one of ACG Chicago’s award winning 2007 programs, the “Powering Growth” conference, that detailed the future investment opportunities in alternative energy. He also co-chaired ACG Chicago’s first Capital Connection in 2002 that now draws over 1,000 participants from all over the United States. Mr. Miller also serves as a Director on the international Board of the Association for Corporate Growth through August of 2009. In that role he currently serves on the finance and executive committees of that organization.

Previously, Mr. Miller was principal at Oak Ridge Capital and Managing Director at Valuemetrics from 1993 to 2002. There he structured and executed buyouts, debt placements, transaction analyses for ownership transition and management buyouts, fairness opinions, and ESOPs. He also led in-depth internal and external training, and served as Principal and Compliance officer for the NASD registered VM Equity Partners, LLC.

Mr. Miller received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Baldwin Wallace College, his Masters in Management Degree from Kellogg School of Management and his Master of Arts Degree from Northwestern University.
