Mana Hotels commissions 90 kW Solar plant at Ranakpur

Mana Hotels in Ranakpur is proud to announce that it has successfully completed the installation and commissioning of a 90kW grid connected solar power plant at its luxury resort in Ranakpur, District Pali, Rajasthan. This project was executed on a turn key basis by Udaipur based contractor Mundra Energy.

The project was awarded to Mundra Energy by Mana Hotels in May of 2021. Inspite of delays related to Covid restrictions, the system was commissioned in the presence of the Rajasthan State Electricity Board personnel on 14th September 2021.

"The biggest challenge in executing this project was completing the super structure which has been mounted on the drive away of Mana Hotels. In addition, the clear height given to the structure for traffic movement under the structure is nearly 15 feet which made the foundation & column design critical", said Mr. Suumit Mundra, proprietor of Mundra Energy.

"Our goal was to install the solar plant in a manner which complimented the design of the hotel. As a result, the structure has been made with Mild Steel sections of appropriate size capable of withstanding wind loads at that height.", said Mr. Anand Yadav, MEP Manager at Mana Hotels Ranakpur.

"The solar plant will not only bring about savings in power cost to Mana Hotels but will also go a long way in preserving the beautiful forests of Ranakpur", said Mr. Vikas Bhati, assistant manager operations at Mana Hotels.
