| Pressemitteilung von: PM Enterprises | ||
The podcast website, http:///www.realdeadwoodpodcast.com , has received visits from over 45 countries around the world, including Australia, Asia, and all the countries of Europe, demonstrating the fascination for both the HBO Deadwood series and for the town of Deadwood by lovers of Wild West history worldwide. The show features audio clips from the HBO Deadwood actors' visit to Deadwood in June of 2005, as well as interviews with artists who performed at Deadwood summer concerts including Kool Deadwood Nites and the Deadwood Jam. Historical information from the Adams Museum & House, a provider of research to HBO and the series’ creator, David Milch, is presented in each show, along with “soundseeing” tours of Mt. Moriah Cemetery, the resting place of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. Interviews with Deadwood Chamber of Commerce and City officials about public events and celebrations are also a part of each show. In addition to the podcasts, the website offers video clips, photo albums, and links from all the shows, as well as show notes for the individual episodes. Kopco teaches digital media courses and is the webmaster at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD. “Producing my own podcast enables me to pass the knowledge and experience I’ve gained on to my students,” he says. “In addition to superior content, I’m a believer that good production value is important to a standout podcast.” Black Hills State has student-run radio and TV stations as part of the broadcasting emphasis in its Mass Communications program, “which is a natural fit for audio and video podcasting.” He is also pursuing podcasting as a major addition to the university’s multimedia services to provide faculty lectures, campus news, student dramatic and musical performances, student work from digital media courses, and audio campus tours as downloads to current students, prospective students, and the general public.
