Ron Eslinger, Director of the Healthy Visions Wellness Center announces Free Hypnosis Seminars.

Recently Ron Eslinger, owner and Director of the Healthy Visions Wellness Center announced that the center will be offering a free introductory seminar on the myths and misconceptions of hypnotism while explaining the many benefits it brings in honor of World Hypnotism Day.

Wednesday, January 4th is the day when professionals in the field of hypnotism from various organizations around the world will be sharing expertise and promoting the truths and benefits of hypnotism. This year is the second annual World Hypnotism Day and with New Year resolutions facing us, the timing is perfect. At this year’s free seminar, Ron explains that you can learn how to beat the Resolution Blues and succeed at your goals.

The first World Hypnotism Day in January of 2005 proved to be one of the most impressive displays of professionalism and sharing of knowledge and skills by hypnotists globally. Talks, interviews, workshops and articles were available around the world, all clearing the air and removing the myths and misconceptions of hypnotism while explaining the many benefits it brings. The popularity and benefits of hypnotism increases daily as we have read and heard the headlines in Newsweek, Good Housekeeping, Canadian Living, Shape, O magazine and on popular syndicated television shows. Now it’s time to come out and learn more about how hypnotism can help you, especially for your New Years resolutions. Mr. Eslinger says that the free seminar on hypnosis will cover topics such as what it is, how it works, what it can be used for as well as how we all use self-hypnosis with out knowing it. This is a fun and interactive seminar and will be held at the Healthy Visions Wellness Center, Jackson Plaza in Oak Ridge. About Hypnotism:
In 1958 the American Medical Association endorsed hypnosis and hypnotherapy as a legitimate treatment tool for pain, stress and relaxation management, weight loss, smoking cessation, childbirth, preparing for surgery, as well as overcoming fears of medical, dental and other hospital procedures. It is natural and free of side effects, when conducted by a certified competent practitioner the results are long lasting and often permanent.

Guidelines of Practice:
The National Guild of Hypnotists has ethical guidelines which all members must adhere to. Even though NGH Hypnotists do not require professional medical or mental health credentials a great number of their members are credentialed in health care professions as is Mr. Eslinger. Non physician hypnotists do not diagnose disease, but do use hypnosis as an adjunct to conventional medical or mental health interventions. Hypnotists use a unique non-diagnostic language with clients in order to help them achieve the healthy change they desire.

About Ron Eslinger:
Healthy Visions Wellness Center Director, Ron Eslinger, is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Advanced Practice Nurse, Master of Arts, Board Certified Hypnotherapist, Certified Instructor of Hypnosis and Certified Instructor for the National Guild of Hypnotists.

A retired Captain in the US Navy, Ron developed the Complementary Care Clinic and introduced HypnoBirthing to the field of obstetrics at the Portsmouth Naval Medical Center. At the Navy’s Beaufort, SC facility he developed a hypnosis program for Health Promotions. He was a member of the Editorial Board for CRNA and The Clinical Forum for Nurse Anesthetists. He published four articles, three on medical hypnosis. He is past President of the Virginia Association of Nurse Anesthetists and he served as the Program Chairman of the South Carolina Association of Nurse Anesthetists. He is currently Vice President, Region 2 of the Tennessee Nurses Association.

Ron lectures extensively to medical and nursing organizations on Hypnosis, Stress Management, Anesthesia, HIV/AIDS, and Bioterrorism. He is frequent faculty to Clemson University’s Annual Continuing Nurse Education Conferences, Gatlinburg, the Nurse Anesthesiology Faculty Association, Frank Moya, CRNA Annual Review Course, and the Association of Women’s Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing.

He is recognized by many in the media as a “source” for expert opinion in the field of hypnotherapy and issues concerning non-pharmacological pain management, and he regularly meets with medical and wellness professionals to enhance their knowledge and awareness of hypnosis and its dynamic potential. He has done five Radio and two TV Interviews, and recently interviewed by Harpers Magazine and Advanced Nursing

Ron is the recipient of many awards including instructor of the month, Researcher of the Year and the prestigious NGH Presenter of the Year Ormond McGill Chair. He was also nominated by the US Navy to represent the Department of Defense on the National Institutes of Health’s committee on Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

Mr. Eslinger has accepted the invitation to be the Keynote Speaker at Great Britain’s National Council for Hypnotherapy annual meeting and will be delivering his address to their members there in June of 2006.
