(openPR) - • Los Angeles, California – June 12, 2006 – In a clarification of earlier published reports the Imperiali Organization has announced that they have agreed in principle with John Daly to direct, produce, and complete the greenlight script for “The Red Worm”.
• Previous reports had John Daly listed as ‘co-director’ instead of his appropriate titles of Executive Producer, Writer, and Director.
• According to Imperiali’s Daniel Imperato and i1films Director Julio Herzer, John Daly, 13-time Academy Award Winner (2-time Best Picture Oscar Winner), originally agreed in principle to proceed forward with the project after several meetings in Cannes, France during the annual film festival.
• “This is a landmark milestone pertaining to the future success of the film. Finalizing an agreement with John will put The Red Worm in line with the other famous Academy Award Winning films that John has produced,” stated Imperato.
• The film is slated to film in at least 10 potential locations ranging from China, the Vatican, Argentina, all the way to South Florida.
• As a producer, John Daly has won 13 Academy Awards, including back-to-back Best Picture Oscars for “Platoon” and “The Last Emperor.” Additionally, Daly’s filmography includes such Hollywood blockbusters as “The Terminator”, and “Hoosiers”.
