(openPR) - Cannes, France – May 24, 2006 - Today i1films’ West Coast Representative and Co-Producer of “The Red Worm” Julio Herzer met with 13-time Academy Award winning producer John Daly.
As a producer, John Daly has won 13 Academy Awards, including back-to-back Best Picture Oscars for “Platoon” and “The Last Emperor.” Additionally, Daly’s filmography includes such Hollywood blockbusters as “The Terminator”, and “Hoosiers”.
The two met at the Carlton Hotel in Cannes, France and in-depth discussions were held regarding Daly potentially affiliating himself with “The Red Worm” and i1films.
In the event that Daly joins i1films, the move would put the organization over the top and give the “The Red Worm” one of Hollywood’s Power Producers to add to its already impressive resume.
Herzer, who is also the Co-Producer for “The Red Worm” had this to add, “John Daly is a man of vision. He is someone that has the vision to bring a high energy action film to the big screen, but also has the vision to tell a story. John Daly understands that what separates good films from great films is storytelling. The story is the strength of The Red Worm, and we would be more than gracious to bring a man like John Daly on board our team.”
i1films is currently a portfolio project of the Imperiali Organization. For more information visit www.imperiali.org.
