(openPR) - The construction work is going to take about a year. When it is finished in July 2007, the 'Europa-Sportregion Zell am See-Kaprun' will have one more special attraction for its guests: where there is usually a steady stream of surfers and snowboarders, the 'Ferry Porsche Congress Center', a state-of-the-art business complex, is now being built right in the heart of the picturesque town centre of Zell am See. Not only can holidaymakers enjoy their time off here at leisure, but also will business people from all over the world spend their working hours in Pinzgau in the future.
The foundation stones for the futurist 'Congress Center' have already been laid in April. German architects and project managers from Villach and Klagenfurt are on site to make sure that the construction plans are implemented smoothly. On 8th May the 'Ferry Porsche Congress Center' was also given official blessings: many high-ranking representatives from the world of politics and economy took part in the symbolic cutting of the first sod in the heart of the 'Europa-Sportregion'.
Apart from Zell's Mayor Dr. Georg Maltschnig, Alexander Höller, managing director of the 'Ferry Porsche Congress Center', was able to welcome Dr. Wolfgang Porsche. The consul, who has a seat on the board of directors of the renowned car manufacturer from Zuffenhausen, was very enthusiastic about the new building. 'The Congress Center adds another exquisite detail to the diversity of this region', he enthused. Georg Hörl, chairman of the Tourism Association Zell am See-Kaprun, is also looking forward to the new complex. He calls the building an important investment in the infrastructure and the facilities of the entire region.
The business centre bearing the name of Ferry Porsche, the son of Ferdinand Porsche (founder of the motor dynasty of the same name), who died in Zell am See in 1998, well deserves the praise: up to 1,200 visitors will find room on its 3,315 square meters of floor space in the future. There are going to be nine daylight-flooded seminar rooms that can flexibly be adjusted to the size of the respective groups.
And it is not just the 400 underground parking spaces, the state-of-the-art technical interior, or the 800 square metres of outdoor premises that constitute the special lure of the 'Congress Center'. Just a stone's throw away, many restaurants invite the guests to have their business lunches and dinners, hotels with more than 1,000 rooms and 2,300 beds can be found within a radius of just a few minutes' walk.
'The combination of a perfect infrastructure and the manifold facilities of the 'Europa-Sportregion' is going to be a strong argument in favour of the 'Ferry Porsche Congress Center', says Höller. And he is convinced that the guests will not have to wait any longer than planned. 'The construction work is progressing much faster than we thought it would. We are already several days ahead of the schedule.'
