(openPR) - The 'Europa-Sportregion Zell am See-Kaprun' is well-known for its beautiful countryside. In summer as in winter: at the heart of Pinzgau, nature offers ideal conditions for a carefree holiday. More than 40 different sports, a varied cultural programme and, of course, the typically Austrian hospitality sweeten this very special time off.
But not only holidaymakers feel on top of world in the' Europa-Sportregion'. The region also provides a perfect setting for everyday business. The 'Ferry Porsche Congress Center' in Zell, however, is going to be anything but ordinary. Where other people spend their holiday, this state-of-the-art business building is going to open its doors to business people from all over the world in July 2007. Little can be seen of the future Congress Center yet, but the project is already going full steam ahead. Even before the first sod is symbolically cut on 8th May, 2006, the foundations for the new building will be fully excavated.
The 'Ferry Porsche Congress Center' is situated right in the middle of Zell am See, next to the pedestrian precinct in the picturesque old part of the town. Only a stone's throw away, many restaurants invite business people to have their working lunches and dinners, hotels offering about 1,000 rooms and 2,300 beds can be found within a radius of just a few minutes' walk. Considering that there are 400 spaces in underground car parks and that Zell station is within eyeshot, the infrastructure does not leave any wishes unfulfilled. The 'Congress Center' is even directly accessible from the air via Zell am See Airfield or Salzburg Airport.
With its ultramodern interior, the 'Ferry Porsche Congress Center' promises to become a Mecca for international business people: the organizers of an event can choose from nine different conference rooms. Flooded by daylight, the rooms flexibly adjust to the size of the group in question. There is room for up to 1,200 people in the largest of them. 800 square metres of outdoor grounds invite for unusual outdoor events. And when the conference day is finally over, the participants may end it with a nice round of golf on the championship courses of Zell Golf Club or at summer skiing on Kitzsteinhorn.
There is great excitement at the prospect of the new 'Congress Center' that bears the name of Ferry Porsche. The son of the founder of the motoring dynasty of that name died in Zell am See in 1998. 'Such an elegant venue for congresses and exhibitions is just what the region needed. I am pleased that this building is going to add a new dimension to the range of services and opportunities offered in Zell am See und Kaprun', says Hans Wallner, Managing Director of Europa-Sportregion Marketing GmbH.
