"The software allows our customers to achieve considerable time and cost savings when converting to EMC Documentum," says contentteam CEO Reza Piroozram.
A bulldozer is generally a construction machine that loosens and transports earth and places it elsewhere. The eponymous product from Crown Partners works in a similar way. However, the software does not transport earth but rather transfers huge quantities of data / documents from one environment to another, in a controlled way. The target system into which the data are transferred is the Enterprise Content Management platform, EMC Documentum. "Buldoser is the leading ETL software for Documentum repositories and we are pleased to have contentteam as a valued customer as well as reseller of our time-tested product," states Richard Hearn, Managing Director Crown Partners.
Crown's Buldoser Center automates a series of labour-intensive tasks for conversions, upgrades, configuration changes and modification processes. Using the Programme, contentteam transfers the customer's content in a three-stage process: extract, transform and load (ETL). At the first stage, the experts extract the data from various sources, for example such as old EMC documents systems, file systems or systems of other EMC suppliers. They then transform the data into the pattern and format of the target platform, in order to finally load the data into the Docbase. The automation of the process reduces the complexity and the risks from ETL operations as well as increasing efficiency by saving on costs and time. The Buldoser configuration interface helps with maintaining an overview and controlling the process.
