Press release from: Ubisense

Co Down, December 11, 2008: Faire Precision Animal Monitoring today announced a partnership with Ubisense – the world's leading precise real-time location solution provider to the manufacturing industries.
Faire and Ubisense have been working together for the past number of years in applying and developing a unique application as an industry specific solution for the agri-sector.
Utilising high-accuracy 3D sensors, Faire’s revolutionary new application makes quality assurance, health, welfare and fertility data available to farm producers, research organisations, veterinary and supply companies. It allows the exact 3D location of an animal to be presented in visual precise time format with data access that can be customised for measurement and statistical analysis according to need — all this within one easy to use high-accuracy system.
Following extensive field testing, Faire’s Precision Animal Monitoring system can be set based on the parameters needed. This could include exact animal position (X,Y,Z) or data alerts pre-set on positional coordinates and time.
Commenting on the partnership with Ubisense, Faire’s Managing Director Declan O’Hare said: “We see this partnership as a fantastic opportunity to combine the expertise of Faire and Ubisense to deliver exceptional growth in the agri-sector.” He added: “We believe that the results of this partnership will be of huge value right across the livestock industry.”
Faire offers a number of different options, from small-scale evaluation starter packages to large-scale indoor or outdoor zone coverage. Customised solutions for research into various animal species, including dairy and beef cows, pigs, sheep, horses and zoo animals, are also available.
