(openPR) - The 4th SeePark Skatfestival sustained again position in 2008. After all, the nation wide Skat event was the last possibility to qualify directly for Skatropoly. For this reason more than 145 players have registered in Kirchheim although the final round of the German city cup was held in Oyten in parallel. In addition 16 participants recorded for different daily evaluations in advance. Through the last November weekend a 9 series tournament was carried out, whose first places got the chance to win in Skatropoly.
Skatropoly combines internet Skat with traditional tournament. Finalists are gained by direct qualification of the places 1 to 3 at different Skat events and from a special online tournament offer. If a Skat player qualifies a second time for Skatropoly, as happened in Kirchheim the last weekend, the next best player rises in rank. The picture shows winners and qualifiers of the 4th Skatfestivals 2008: on the 1. place Walter van Stegen, who got his ticket already at SeePark-Cup this summer. The 2. place was faced by Detlef Ulrich (2.l), followed by Silvio Haertel (r). Only the 4th place after 9 series Skat at the festival, but a lucky finalist in the big game of www.skatropoly.de, Martin Fuhrer (l).
The final round of the internet will be played on 13th December. This is when the last 24 finalists will be named. The closing tournament is then a run over 9 series and will be held from 09. until 11. January 2009 in the new Maritim Hotel in Duesseldorf.

In average 2,6 Million games (Ref. Sept. 2007) are played each month. Additionally, the Skat-Online League for single and team competition is offered. Self-dependent providers organize tournaments. More than 750 organized and accompanied tournaments were played during 2006. Remark: we have moved.
