(openPR) - CHEMNITZ – 9 March 2006 –The term 3D-watching in movies and TV was until now connected inseparably with funny paper glasses. In periodic intervals these terms appeared into magazines with the promise of “a total new viewing experience”. Unfortunately the paper glasses were not very comfortable and already unusable after a short time.

Now, at last it’s possible to enjoy 3D without these annoying 3D-utilities.

The leading manufacturer of Holographic-Optical Projection Solutions, the company sax3d.com GmbH from Chemnitz presents in collaboration with the company NewSight GmbH from Jena – punctual to the beginning of the CeBIT Hannover – the worldwide first daylight compatible auto stereoscopic 3D-projection system called “NewView with HOPS.®- 3D”. This System allows to perceive lifelike and spacial images with the naked eye. There are no other utilities like the above mentioned 3D-glasses necessary to marvel at the images which seem to hover into the room/space. Several observers can experience the 3rd Dimension. Thereby they can move freely in front of the projection surface.

The – by the developers and engineers of the sax3d.com GmbH – new developed projection surface HOPS. ®- 3D works on the image-hologram principal. The image at the screen is only viewable when the light of the projector stray into a certain/specific projection angle. Incoming stray light from other angles doesn’t interfere the image quality. Thus assures that image contents which are projected onto “NewView with HOPS. ® - 3D” don’t be affected by day- or incoming sunlight.

The innovative 3D-visualizing “NewView with HOPS. ® -3D” shall be applied in a lot of fields of application. So it is imaginable to use it in the area of Medicine. Existing three-dimensional data -generated by 3D-ultrasonic apparatus or magnetic resonance tomographs – can be shown diorama like / in all 3 dimensions. Thereby its going to be possible to show motion sequences or to simulate operation steps. Imaginable is also the usage for teachings/seminars/trainings.
Further application areas could be Research, Architecture, Advertisement or Infotainment.
