IT, New Media & Software
Press release from: World On-Demand
(openPR) - The New Media Group, parent company to the World On-Demand IPTV platform, today announces its has renewed its exclusive deal with Taj Sports for carriage of TEN Sports, the leading specialist television sports channel for South Asian audiences. The contract extends The New Media Group’s existing relationship with Taj Sports further whilst adding deeper cooperation which will help deliver TEN Sports firmly onto TV, PC, and mobile terminal screens across East Asia.

Over the ensuing period, World On-Demand will not only continue to provide TEN Sports in specialist channel packages targeted at both community and interest groups across East Asia, it will also add new elements such as enhanced marketing cooperation which will see TEN Sports racing, tennis and other content promoted to new and expanding audience bases.

The contract renewal demonstrates the continued mutual commitment of the companies, and TEN Sports ongoing satisfaction with the World On-Demand platform. It will also allow TEN Sports to tap into The New Media Group’s expertise to help position for future growth in new media.

Randy McGraw, President and CEO of The New Media Group K.K., said: “Many television content providers struggle to identify and reach new markets in the fast changing media landscape. Their focus is local, therefore talk of expanding into overseas markets – and the investment inherent in that – is challenging. The World On-Demand platform is a solution, and it will continue to provide TEN Sports and other leading providers with new markets while serving core customer bases across East Asia and Australia. Our long term service agreement will put everything in place for an incredible future together.”

TNMG shall also work with TEN Sports to place its content into major Japanese portals such as Yahoo and Nico-Nico-Douga, the latter of which shall kick-off in early October via a long-range tie-up and become a major promotional vehicle for reaching niche audiences interested in racing, tennis and cricket.
