The IEEW is a nonprofit organization that encourages women to grow their businesses, pursue entrepreneurial ventures and become active public policy advocates. As a board member, Abalos will help carry out the IEEW’s mission by educating, mentoring and coaching women in the United States and abroad who want to gain entrepreneurial skills to help start and grow a business. In this position, she will also support the IEEW’s Peace Through Business program, which brings aspiring entrepreneurs from Afghanistan and Rwanda to the United States to learn the tools for becoming self sufficient businesswomen.
