(openPR) - The Law Offices of James Sokolove (LOJS), a company dedicated to reinventing how people access to the civil justice system, today announced the creation of a new executive role with the appointment of Rob Bunn as chief financial officer. After consulting for LOJS since 2004, Rob will now play a central role in developing and evaluating the Company’s financial direction and capital market activities.
“Rob’s in-depth knowledge of LOJS and his deep experience in the capital markets is well matched to our growth strategy and financial vision,” said Mike Skoler, chief executive officer of LOJS. “Ours is a pioneering business model that demands innovation. It is a tremendous asset to add a CFO so uniquely attuned to both us and our market. Rob bolsters our executive team at a time when the business of law is being completely reinvented to better meet consumer needs.”
Prior to joining LOJS, Bunn was a founder of White Oak Partners LLC, a management consultancy that provided financial and strategic consulting service to early stage and middle market growth companies. Prior to founding White Oak Partners, he served as vice president of finance and operations at Create!form International Inc., a document output management software company with offices in the US, UK, and Australia.
“While Rob served at Create!form, it was named to the Deloitte Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in North America,” added Skoler. “Rob’s proven track record in fast-paced, entrepreneurial companies was a perfect fit for LOJS.”
In his role at the LOJS, Bunn will oversee the Company’s finance, accounting, and IT functions. “I have known Mike for a long time, and I am excited about the chance to work with him again. But it is Jim Sokolove’s vision for transforming consumer access to legal services that has captivated me. The LOJS vision and its commitment to help people convinced me to accept.”
Before his position at Create!form, Bunn was an associate with Andersen Capital Markets LLC, the corporate finance practice of Arthur Andersen, and an acquisition coordinator with Ferguson Enterprises. Bunn is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a member of the CFA Institute and a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society. He has a B.S. in finance and economics from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and a M.Div., magna cum laude, from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
