(Columbia, SC) The University of South Carolina is partnering with the South Carolina Airports Coalition to host The Ultimate Business Expo for Small and Minority Contractors and Suppliers on Thursday November 3, 2016. The event begins at 9:00am and ends at 2:00pm. It will be held at the Koger Center for the Arts located at 1051 Greene Street, Columbia, SC. Free parking is
available in the Park Street garage.

This event will provide small, minority and disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE) with the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with prime contractors, purchasing officers, and other business owners in order to build relationships and lay the foundation for future and current business opportunities. Some attendees will be invited to participate in match-making sessions. The attendees will hear directly from organization leadership including USC President Harris Pastides and Columbia Metropolitan Airport Director, Dan Mann.

In addition to the general sessions, a series of workshops will be held throughout the day. Topics will include upcoming USC Construction Projects, Joint Ventures, Bonding, and DBE/ACDBE Certification.

The Purchasing Department is committed to developing successful relationships with small, minority, and women-owned businesses. Over the past decade, USC has historically been a leader in supporting various minority business events.

The South Carolina Airports Coalition includes Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP), Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR), Charleston International Airport (CHS), and Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE). The Ultimate Business Expo marks the first time that the Airports Coalition has partnered with a non-airport entity since its inception in 2015. This is turning point in the coalition’s continued commitment to supporting small, minority and women owned businesses.

There is no admission fee for The Ultimate Business Expo, however, registration is requested.
