Free Brochure 'Probes for Investigating Signal Transduction' Available from MoBiTec

Signal transduction is the process of converting a signal from one form to another. Extracellular signals are routed to intracellular targets which carry out multiple specific cellular functions, ranging from cell division and growth to cell death.

MoBiTec GmbH, Germany, compiled a new brochure titled "Probes for Investigating Signal Transduction" to summarize products which are of relevance to this exciting and, despite its long history, highly topical field of research.

The way how cells communicate with each other is extracellularly regulated by signaling molecules. Many of these signaling molecules exert allosteric regulatory effects on many enzymes and proteins. The most important intracellular processing pathways, through which the signals are relayed, are the PLC/PIP2 and cAMP/PKA cascades. Investigating the mechanisms of signal transduction ultimately results in insights how alterations of cell functions are linked to malignant transformations.
