Tourism management system to optimize the central web-based system

TatvaSoft, a leading software development company based in London UK, has developed a Tourism management system for a client based in Middle East. This client is a world-class event destination as well as a high-quality tourism destination for leisure, business, education, and sport and thus evolving in the tourism industry. The client wanted to streamline the centralized web-based system for state security bureau and tourism authority. The main goal to develop the web-based system was to control the country violations and find out the tourism statistics. This system facilitated the exciting features that made it different than the traditional one.

TatvaSoft has leveraged its team of Microsoft.NET experts in order to develop the tourism management system for meeting the client’s expectation. The client wanted some of the special things to be incorporated into the system and so the team of TatvaSoft left no stones unturned to fulfill the requirements. A tool was developed for the reservation agents and global sales staff to maximize bookings and increase the revenue in any size chain or a multi-property environment. Tracking is necessary when it comes to tourism; hence tracking interface was built with blacklisted visitors and passport based tracking to track the visitors’ right from the airport. The reservation system can be used for both kinds of hoteliers: hoteliers having their own information system and also who don’t have their system. Rate, Inventory control, administration, security, and reporting were highly taken care of.

Three core features like State Security Bureau, Hoteliers and Guest were implemented.

• State Security Bureau

Third party integration was developed for Hotel information system. By interfacing SSB, personalized and custom dashboard gives an overview of the visitors. Hotel management system was developed from where SSB can approve hotels, their employees, renew hotel’s licenses and also publish messages for hoteliers. Mailbox system was developed for the smooth communication with internal staff as well as hoteliers. Alert messages were developed to stay updated. Reports and Audit logs were built for the ease the process.

• Hotelier

It enables to create the hotel profile for maintaining all the information. This segment was facilitated to manage the various events and seasonal promotional activities. With the hotel employee management, it enabled to manage the information about its staff. Different rates for different properties were defined so that one can count the best rates for any length of stay period. Customized sales feature, reservation facility, group booking, and blocking were also integrated. At the end, reports were generated for providing quick and detailed analytics on various hotel transactions and visitor flow.

• Guest or Visitors

This system enabled multi-currency facilities for foreign customers. Prices can be converted from national currency to foreign country currency. Advance search facility was integrated for the detailed information on the hotel.

The client was highly benefited with this system as now SSB can easily monitor tourism process and violations across the country. Due to interfacing of high statistics, big data can be generated which helps the tourist authority to plan much better, develop the great strategies and invest in tourism activities. Visitors can explore all the hotel information through a single point and get the benefits of competitive price. This system has highly benefited the client with the increased sales and improved revenue with the maximum user engagement.
