The Restaurant Cricket League (RCL 2024) has come to a thrilling end after ten days of intense competition, camaraderie, and celebration of the spirit of sportsmanship. Held at the prestigious Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi from 27th February to 7th March 2024, the event witnessed the participation of prominent teams from Evva, Baardos, Opia, WYLD, Article 21, Preamble, OMG, Droplet, CCI, and numerous others from the vibrant restaurant, hospitality, and tourism sectors of New Delhi & NCR.

The pinnacle of the tournament, the Final match, took place on 7th March between Team Baardos and Team Evva . Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy, MP & National Spokesperson BJP, graced the occasion and felicitated the Winners & participants of RCL. His presence added grandeur to the event, and he conveyed his compliments to all the participating teams and organizers for orchestrating another successful edition of the league.

In his address, Shri Rudy applauded the vision of the league and expressed his anticipation for the forthcoming edition of RCL in 2025, which is slated to be organized on a national level, encompassing teams from across India.

Building upon the resounding success of RCL in 2023 & 2024, the governing council members & organizers of the Restaurant Cricket League, Shri Arvind Kumar & Shri Abhishek Bhatnagar announced an ambitious expansion for the 2025 edition. The upcoming league will be organized on a pan-India scale, inviting participation from a myriad of stakeholders within the hospitality and tourism industries, including members from hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, and tourism service providers. RCL 2025 aims to bring together over 40 teams from various cities, representing the diverse regions of the country. It will serve as a platform for promoting food security, ethnic Indian cuisines, local delicacies, region-specific tourist attractions, as well as art and culture.

Aligned with Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat and a developed country by 2047, RCL's founding mission has been expanded to encompass broader objectives aimed at catalysing India's journey towards becoming a global superpower. These objectives include establishing India as a great sporting nation, promoting fitness, ensuring health and wellness for all Indians, and making India the most sought-after travel destination worldwide. Beginning 2025, RCL will be dedicated to advancing flagship initiatives championed by our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, including the Khelo India Programme, FIT India Movement, The Pradhan Mantri Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana, POSHAN Abhiyaan Programme, Eat Right India Movement, and the Incredible India Campaign.

The Restaurant Cricket League continues to evolve as a symbol of unity, excellence, and progress, reflecting the collective aspirations of a vibrant and dynamic India.
