Nain, a mountain guide and outdoor enthusiast, has a profound understanding of the outdoor industry. He is the owner of Ascent Outdoors, a well-established outdoor retail store in Seattle. Under his ownership, Ascent Outdoors has expanded to offer a wide range of outdoor gear, apparel, and footwear both in-store and online. Customers trust Ascent Outdoors to provide top-level service through its friendly, knowledgeable employees. Nain also offers guided trips and courses in the Pacific Northwest and beyond at his adventure guiding business, Miyar Adventures. After a successful career in the tech industry, Sandeep Nain founded Miyar Adventures, and has led trips around the world, from Mount Kilimanjaro to Machu Picchu and Nepal. In 2014, he opened a gear store in Redmond, Washington, to support his guiding venture. In 2019, Nain acquired Seattle's long-running backcountry staple, Ascent Outdoors, when the previous owners filed for bankruptcy. Sandeep's commitment to the outdoor industry is evident in his stewardship of Ascent Outdoors and his dedication to preserving and enhancing the outdoor community in the Seattle area.

Nain's passion for the outdoors began in the Pacific Northwest, where he enjoys activities such as rock climbing, ice climbing, and backcountry skiing. He has climbed and guided extensively in the Cascades, summited the region's volcanoes multiple times, and accomplished numerous significant climbs. Through shared adventures and outdoor experiences, Sandeep aims to inspire and rejuvenate the outdoor community, body and mind.

ABOUT ASCENT OUTDOORS
The Ascent Outdoors story begins in 1996. Ascent Outdoors was first known as Second Bounce, a secondhand sporting goods store. Over the years, we slowly began stocking more and more gear focused on outdoor activities such as backpacking, camping, climbing, backcountry skiing, and biking. In 2001, Second Bounce moved to the shop's current location in Ballard, ditched the "bouncing items," became Second Ascent, and rebranded as a full-service outdoor retail store and bike shop selling new, used, closeout, and sample gear.
