Unprecedented Veteran with Service Dog Explores 2024 Presidency

North Port, Fla., Sept. 13th, 2023. Eric Talaska, age 54, announces his exploration for the 2024 US presidency. His campaign motto is "Wise Minded" and seeks high profile changes. He is a moderate who hopes to draw voters from all parties who want better quality than the other popular choices. His affiliation is tentatively Independent.

Talaska says the environment should urgently be front and center. Most species are facing existential threats at an accelerated, unnatural rate. Humans have an ethical and moral obligation to expediently implement solutions to avert the climate crisis and the 6th mass extinction which are accelerated by human activities. He would act on advice from scientists. "There is no sustainable economy without a sustainable environment. Our economy has shortsightedly and temporarily grown at the expense of our environment and future generations. I will foster a sustainable balance between the planet, people and profits" Talaska says.

Other major plans include creating a Department of Peace funded by a 1% annual reduction of military hardware spending until a more sane balance is achieved. He would attempt to abolish the Electoral College and implement "ranked choice voting" which will foster voters to vote with their "heart" rather than the "lesser of two evils". He proposes eliminating the IRS and use those associates to go after fraudsters, illegal telemarketers, environmental offenders, etc. imposing extremely heavy fines and asset seizures to help pay down the national debt. In place of the IRS for federal funds there would be a federal tax on goods and services; those with the most negative environmental impact would be taxed heaviest. He proposes offering tax credits to businesses that sell or offer a "Made in U.S.A." search field on their websites.

Talaska honorably served in the Army with a Top Secret security clearance and is currently affiliated with the F.B.I. private sector. He did brutal factory work at night while going to college during the day and eventually earned two college degrees. Being a problem solver, he invented, wrote and prosecuted pro se, a patent. He has extensively traveled the United States which helps him understand varying cultures and worked 25 different full time jobs which helps him understand varying industries. Talaska says he is extremely responsible and thus has no notable adverse records.

Talaska hopes his action encourages others who are also at the bottom of any hierarchy and those with disabilities to do great things they might have otherwise been discouraged of doing. With enough media coverage, he will attend presidential debates with his beautiful, two year old high profile red Merle Mini American Shepherd service dog at his side. That will be unprecedented and interesting.
