eProfessors/ePractitioners Partner for Entrepreneurship Projects

Associations & Organizations
Press release from: Enitiative Project
PR Agency: University College of Syracuse University
(openPR) - Syracuse — Twenty professors and practitioners have been chosen to launch the first “Enitiative” projects – the Syracuse Campus-Community Entrepreneurship Initiative, which connects campus and community organizations by providing entrepreneurship grants to fund ideas for revitalizing Central New York in the areas of technology, neighborhoods, and the arts. The projects were made possible by a grant awarded to SU from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
The “eProfessors” and “ePractitioners” have been selected from campuses and organizations in the CNY area and will play significant leadership roles in teaching, research, and service within their respective disciplines. The eProfessors and ePractitioners will engage in entrepreneurship projects that involve faculty, students, and community members. They will serve 2-year terms, and each receives up to $20,000 to support their Enitiative project.
A 5-year, $3-million Kauffman Campuses SM Initiative endowment will enable the coalition of committed academic and community partners to incorporate entrepreneurship into every facet of advancing SU’s Scholarship in Action vision throughout Central New York.
Enitiative focuses on entrepreneurship in the arts, technology, and our neighborhoods. To learn more about Enitiative, visit www.entrepreneurship.syr.edu.
