Big Red Brunch Golf Scramble tees off new era of Husker excitement in Omaha

OMAHA, Nebraska - The Big Red Brunch is back with exciting updates for its 8th season.
Formerly the Big Red Breakfast, the Big Red Brunch is bigger, better and redder than ever. In partnership with 93.7 FM The Ticket, HuskerExtra presents a legendary lineup of fan favorites at a new location: Tiburon Golf Club & Banquet Facility, just off Interstate 80 in Gretna.
"These events are all about celebrating the spirit of Husker sports, and I'm confident it's going to be a season to remember," said Cheri Dickmeyer, director of events and marketing for the Omaha World-Herald. "We've got some fantastic surprises in store."

Big Red Brunch Golf Scramble
The season begins with a Golf Scramble on Wednesday, Aug. 9, beginning at 10 a.m. at Tiburon Golf Club. Attendees will have the opportunity to play alongside current and former Husker athletes including Steve Warren, Tony Veland, Ahman Green, Vershan Jackson and Jay Foreman, among others.
"We're super excited to be part of the Big Red Brunch Golf Scramble," said Derrick Pearson, owner of 93.7 FM The Ticket. "We're sending a whole crew, and we hope to see you there. Go Big Red!"
Registration is $175 for a single golfer or $650 for a foursome. Fees include green fees, cart, driving range access, lunch with two drink tickets and a swag bag. This year's scramble will benefit TeamMates Youth Mentoring Program through the purchase of mulligans, raffle tickets and donations.

The Brunch Is Back
On select Thursdays during the college football season, Big Red Brunch attendees will hear from Husker legends at Tiburon Golf Club.
"Each brunch provides an opportunity to hear from and meet former players and coaches who have shaped the legacy of our beloved team," Dickmeyer said. "It's a unique opportunity to connect with these icons and be inspired by their stories of passion, dedication and Husker pride."

Tickets for individuals are $45 per brunch, or $250 for six brunches. Tables of 10 are $345 per brunch, or $2,000 for six brunches. Doors open at 11 a.m., with the program starting at 11:30 a.m. and ending at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are available at go.omaha.com/bigredbrunch.
