The new M8x1-passive junction boxes from ESCHA will be available in different versions.

Halver, 23 April 2015 – In November 2014, the connector- and housing specialist ESCHA presented its new M8x1-passive junction-generation at the SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg. The I/O-junctions are particularly distinguished for their compact housing style as well as their flexible mounting options. Various versions will be available as of May 2015.

The new M8x1-passive junction-generation from ESCHA consists of 4-way-, 8-way- und 10-way-junctions with pluggable M8x1-connections as well as 4-way- and 10-way-junctions with 8mm snap-connections. These are available in 3-pole and 4-pole versions with central M12x1-connecting plugs or with a fixed cable connection. The junctions are predestinated for harsh industrial applications meeting the high protection class IP67 requirements due to the proven full potting and a metal-threaded insert.

Flexible mounting options and compact housing style

The new junctions provide for a flexible front-mounting on e.g. aluminum profiles via mounting holes – arranged along a line. The hole spacing is adapted to all market-standard grids. Additionally, lateral mounting is possible as well. The new passive junctions dispose of an extremely compact housing style due to a high channel density on a concurrently small space. This is particularly of an advantage in case of very tight mounting conditions.

With the new generation and for the first time, ESCHA offers logic junctions via which a so called ‘AND-distribution‘ of the individual plug-in slots can be realized enabling the shifting of hard-wired logic gates from the central SPS to the junction.
