Chicago Movie-Themed Scavenger Hunt June 2-4, 2023 Through Adventure App eATLAS

CHICAGO, Illinois-June 2-4, 2023, cinema buffs will take over the Windy City for their shot to win cash prizes totaling more than $5,000 in eATLAS's second annual Chicago ScavHunt, this one with a movie theme.

With its combination of a picture-perfect skyline, bustling downtown, and charming neighborhoods, Chicago has long been a favorite setting for films, ranging from classic comedies to gritty urban dramas to superhero flicks. The contest will take players through the Loop and River North neighborhoods, showcasing locations of city landmarks that have been immortalized on the silver screen.

Participating ScavSquads of 1 to 5 players can register now, for free, through June 2nd on the eATLAS app using the 'Chicago ScavHunt 2023' link (https://eatlas.page.link/WeETeGxB5sPnbgVT7) ; contest rules can be found at https://playeatlas.com/chicago-scavhunt-2023/. Each stop in our scavenger hunt will require ScavSquads to draw upon their knowledge of movies and Chicago's history and architecture to complete the 12-stop competition.

Each ScavSquad must correctly complete each requirement-as quickly as possible-to win. The winning team will have the best time and most accurately completed challenges. Scores will be listed on the Adventure's Leaderboard which can be viewed once the hunt is completed.

Additional prizes will be given to ScavSquads who dress up as their favorite Chicago movie characters, have the craziest ScavSquad name, show off the best ScavSquad spirit, and share their experiences on social media.

2023's overall leader will need to unseat last year's winning team, The Chan Plan, who played as a family of three. Last year's participants ranged from individual players to teams of couples, friends, co-workers and family. "It was an incredible adventure and family experience," said Teric Adriani, a 2022 competitor.

eATLAS offers numerous downloadable app-guided Adventures in Chicago's iconic and lesser-known neighborhoods, and other locations across the U.S. Some tours are FREE and some cost up to $20. Many of these expertly created adventures are themed by subjects like history, culture, and architecture, and are less expensive than in-person tours which can cost $50-$100 a person per tour.
