** We have shared "Shadow's" story, in his eyes, on our website under Why did I have to Die? It is sure to make your blood boil and break your heart. This poor pup was only at the shelter for 5 days before they decided to kill him, simply because of his breed.

The Animal Foundation of Las Vegas is in a crisis. The shelter system is operating at or over capacity at all times which is an unstable and unsustainable practice. The current contract that The Animal Foundation has with the City of Las Vegas lacks every bit of oversight accountbility. The contract does not allow the City to dictate how to help run the facility and The Animal Foundation has taken advantage of this, our animals and the community for far too long.
